ABOUT

Sharon M. Dundee is an abstract mixed media artist and arts educator living and working in Cleveland, Ohio. Her creative process is heavily influenced by a passion for typography, books, myths, a wide variety of retro/ancient artifacts, and, perhaps without realizing it, her years of graphic design experience.

She works in a heavily textured mixed-media approach. The tactile sensation of paper, paint, and other elements helps her connect more deeply with the creative process. Her work has been exhibited nationally in the U.S.

Dundee received her BFA from Youngstown State University (YSU), where she pursued painting, art history, and graphic design. The latter became the focus of her career, spanning more than 30 years. Additionally, she brought her experience and inspiration to students at YSU as part of the adjunct faculty in the art department. She currently teaches a variety of adult art classes and workshops in Northeast Ohio.
